Health

As per the World Health Organization (WHO), health can be defined as either physical, mental or social well-being of a person with or without the absence of disease. Maintaining a healthy balance of all three will lead to happiness, clarity and serenity. We all know that life sometimes gets in the way of our daily intentions and this is where healthy eating, meditation and yoga can assist by using these as coping mechanisms.

Balance

We all wish to maintain some sort of balance in our lives which may seem difficult, at times. Practicing yoga and meditation focuses on many systems in the body: musculoskeletal system, nervous system, lymphatic system, digestive system and the like. Balancing these systems will slow the disease process and produce a healthy mind and body. Maintaining a physical balance will develop in a healthy mental balance.

Wellness

Setting or manifesting an intention should be part of our daily goals. After we set our intention(s) we must strive to work toward it and bring it to fruition. Wellness is just that. Wellness is a goal we set for ourselves and take steps toward achieving it. Wellness is being aware of self and taking the necessary steps to achieve your state of wellness, which can include being free of disease, improved mental health, emotional balance, and the like.
